This morning, a TSA officer at LAX humiliated and shamed my 15-year-old daughter. She is traveling with a group of high school students on a college tour and we were not with her when he verbally abused her.

The TSA dipshits at LAX, in addition to the general “we hate our jobs so fuck you for being here” attitude from 90% of the LAX employees drove me to abandon LAX and fly out of Burbank instead, even if that means I have a 2+ hour layover.

Yes, it is worth spending 2 hours somewhere else so I don’t have to deal with LAX at all. LAX is a giant pile of fail.

See, this is the kind of shit Husband and I were talking about earlier. This is why my girls are 4 days old and we’re already talking about how to handle dipshits who think it’s wrong for a 5-year-old to wear a 2 piece bathing suit, etc.

The girls are doing really well. They’re off of oxygen and their ventilators are slowly doing less and less work. They’re both tolerating breast milk and formula through a tube. Other than that, they’re being treated for jaundice.

But it’ll be 3-4 days before I can hold them because the doctor doesn’t want to risk jostling their ventilator or umbilical lines.

That means I won’t be able to hold my little girls until they’re over a week old. I know it’s for the best, but it’s hard because that’s the first thing I want to do when I walk in and see them lying there in their incubators. 

They definitely have personalities! Husband says that Little Girl A is mini me. She had to have her hands restrained because she kept fighting and taking her tube out. She doesn’t really like being touched either. Little Girl B is like Husband- she’s just kind of chill. She did rip out her tube once, but other than that, she just kind of deals with it. She seems to like holding our fingers.

I know they’re in good hands, but it’s just so weird that they’re 4 days old and not with us all the time.
